This is a nice character portrait, I enjoy the coloring!
I like the outfit design and sort of steampunky look to it. In order to make him look more male, though, you can broaden his shoulders, lengthen his face, and make his legs more slender. This'll make him seem more like an adult male than a preteen boy dressed up epically.
