Finished boots used for my Maka cosplay. They are going to need repaired for my next con, as the hot glue and superglue didn't really hold up very well against wear.
Let me know if you would like to know how I made them. I'm glad to share my knowledge~
These are the first go-round, so they're just made of craftfoam strips. They didn't hold up too well at the con, so the second time I used craft foam covered with clear contact paper and used Gorilla glue to secure them to the boots. It's hard-core glue that requires overnight pressure to set up, but was much sturdier.
The buckles were just plastic slides that I found at the fabric store. I primed them white and then painted them over with silver and ModPodge to seal them. Then I looped one end of the strap around the center bar and glued it, so the straps fasten by shoving the loose end through the slide. The little buckle bits on the end of the straps are just painted on.
Good luck! I'd love to see yours when you get them finished
I'm having the hardest time deciding what to use XP haha.
Nice boots btw ^_^

I shall post a picture of my boots when I finish with them!
